I'm rewiring my jantar, currently my battery is placed under the cabin entrance. Because of this I can't close the drawer there properly. I'm wondering where other people have there battery placed.

the battery is often placed in the bow, under the lie down area.

The advantage is, that not all the havy weight is placed in the cockpit area.

May be a little late:
The battery of my Jantar 21 is placed direct at the portside of the keel. This ist the best possibile place in the Jantar 21 because havy weights should always placed in the center of the boat and so deep as possibile.
